Suman sa Ibus
Ingredients:
3 cups glutinous rice
3 tsp salt
2 cups coconut milk
Procedure:
1. Soak glutinous rice in water until grains are swollen.
Wash rice and drain.
Add salt and coconut milk.
2. Fill 2/3 of the palm tube containers.
Close opening of the tube by pinning ends together with a piece of bamboo pick (about 1/3 the size of a toothpick).
Tie each suman with strips of buri.
3. Arrange in a deep kettle with water and cover container.
Boil suman for two hours or until cooked.
